Ancient Prosian Fruits

From Sariel's Core

Template:Flora

Ancient Prosian Fruits is the collective term for a group of engineered botanical species originally designed by the Garapr’seen during the creation of the Garden Node world of Prose. Long believed extinct after the partial dormancy of the Flow Network, these fruits re-emerged following the Awakening triggered by driftbloom harmonics during the events of The Awakening of the Nodes. These fruits were stored in compressed genetic archives inside Driftbloom seedbanks and restored to full expression when the Flow Network resumed active harmonic function.

Overview

Ancient Prosian Fruits were once core components of Prose’s engineered ecosystem. They were:

  • nutritionally optimized
  • harmonically stabilized
  • ecologically interdependent with Laroko trees
  • designed to support cognitive health
  • intended to regulate soil and atmospheric balance

Their disappearance coincided with the long dormancy of the Flow Network. Their return marks the beginning of Prose’s Golden Age.

Reawakening Process

Driftbloom Activation

The reappearance of these fruits was triggered when driftblooms on Prose received an activation harmonic from the Flow Network—a pulse linked to the Awakening on Telran and the return of the guardian AI Keshro’een. Driftblooms released:

  • stored genetic “difference files”
  • soil-activating microbial spores
  • growth-pattern algorithms embedded in their pollen
  • harmonic resonance tones that unlocked dormant seedbanks

These processes reconstructed long-extinct plant species based on ancient Garapr’seen designs.

Conditions Required

The algorithm required:

  • stable weather patterns
  • active driftbloom harmonics
  • presence of Laroko groves
  • awakened Flow Network systems

Once met, ancient fruits began appearing across Prose within days.

Ecological Impact

The return of these fruits has led to:

  • enriched soil fertility
  • increased biodiversity
  • restored river and forest health
  • widespread stability in Prose’s climate
  • synchronized flowering cycles with driftblooms
  • new agricultural opportunities

These fruits are considered “keystone species” completing the Garden Node ecosystem the Garapr’seen originally designed.

Cultural Significance

Their reawakening is regarded by Prosians as:

  • a sign of the Golden Age
  • confirmation of Garapr’seen heritage
  • a symbol of unity with the Telrani
  • a sacred gift stewarded by the Order of the Flow
  • a major part of Larokosi harvest celebrations

Festivals now feature offerings of Komar’en, Redcore Apples, and Stardrop Berries as symbols of gratitude and renewal.
